Crashing problem

This problem is slowly revealing itself, although this isn't the only crashing issue, this is one of the main ones (I think).
The nether keeps on calling the RAM, it would be fine, but minecraft/bukkit only allows one main world (I mean, the nether can only connect to the main world) and the legit world isn't the main world. So i've had to force the legit world to have a nether. With the minecraft updates, it looks like this has been getting more and more unstable for some reason.
What i'm trying to say is... If I can't work on a fix for this, the nether might have to go. But don't worry I have a couple of ideas.
My ideas are; shop that has everything that the nether can other or world edit a massive chunk of the nether and hide it in the legit world 20,000 blocks away.
Anyway, thought i'll give you a quick update.

Pretty nice idea colm, but what if the shops closes? Like for a period of 3 weeks, then we would been totally unable to get any resources from the nether.
