Helper + command

Hello, I would like to ask what Helper + people would actually like.

Here is the options:
/jump It allows you to tp at the block you're looking at. For worlds Create and MOJOLOCO

/gm Allows you to switch from creative to survival. For worlds MOJOLOCO as create already allows the "/gm" command.

I would like to know which one people would rather.

well, with /gm they wouldn't need /jump surely.
as they could just fly onto their desired block.

One, they already have /fly and /fastfly and two jump is a teleport. In my opinion I want /gm for them so people can stop bugging me

It should probably just be /jump. Gamemoding yourself is something that should be a bit harder to earn. Isn't /gm currently a G-Mod plus command? If so, it's a bit of a HUGE jump in trust. Colm, it IS up to you, but I think it should just be /jump, because it's a trust issue.

I agree with matt it does take a lot of trust for /gm but what are they going to do? if they grief we rollback the only difference is that there'd be a bit more grief. which would be rolledback just as easily as grief with a spawned diamond pic/axe.

True, but do we want there to be more grief? Colm isn't always on to roll back every grief he sees. Plus, /gm is more of a staff command, anyway.

If colm isnt on can't you just wait? and even if he isnt there is always furball55 and the co-owners

There are going to be instances where an admin will not be on, and waiting isn't an acceptable answer. Why not just lessen it BEFORE it happens? Colm has done basically everything he can to make the server the best it can be, with custom plugins, his staff choice, and many other things, but I believe it would not improve the server's quality to give non-staff a command such as /gm. What would they need it for? They can spawn items and fly, that's basically the same thing as creative mode. I see no reason why a Helper would need creative. If anyone finds one(aside from people bugging Colm about it), I'd love to hear it.

Do you think I'll only pick griefers for the Helper rank? We've only had 2 Helpers that have griefed.

As colm said said there have only ever been 2 helper griefers and if its basically the same as flying and spawning why not make it easier for them in building by making it insta break?

I realize that, but there is always a chance of someone turning. I'm not intending to criticize, but there is always a slight chance that the Helpers you currently have may decide that it is boring on TechCraft and start greifing. And again, /gm has been a G-Mod command really as long as I've been on the server and I personally believe it should stay that way.

I've always wanted too lower it.

It's just that /jump sometimes lets you go through walls sometimes... That's like /thru which is an S-Mod command.

Well, do what you must. It is your server, and I won't try to stop you from doing that. Either way, it wouldn't be a bad idea, anyway.

I know you like the /jump command, that's why you're fighting for it...

True, but I was arguing because I thought jump was already settled.
